Level 5 Motorsports has garnered a good deal of attention with its entry into the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. The Honda-powered LMP2 Lola Coupe fielded by owner/driver Scott Tucker will feature an all-star driver line-up.

“We know this is a huge undertaking, Tucker said. We have put together a team that we believe can meet this challenge. We’ve aligned ourselves with the world’s best technical partners.”

Joining Tucker in both the ILMC and the American Le Mans Series will be long-time teammate Christophe Bouchut. The veteran driver has already earned wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Spa and the Rolex 24 At Daytona. New to the team in 2011 is Luis Diaz. A native of Mexico, Diaz drove to an ALMS LMP2 class championship with Fernández Racing in 2009 and will drive for Level 5 in ALMS 2011. Joao Barbosa will be running with Tucker and Bouchut in the ILMC.

In unveiling the new prototype, Level 5 Motorsports announced several key partnerships with Lola, Honda, and Michelin. "After an excellent first year in ALMS in 2010, they have proved they are a very professionally run team,” said Lola owner and Executive Chairman Martin Birrane. Level 5’s racing program also captured the attention of Microsoft Office. The U.S.-based software company sponsored the team’s 2010 efforts in the American Le Mans Series and recently announced they would return for the 2011 season with their Office 2010 brand. "Showcasing the power of our software technology with a high performance organization like Level 5, competing on multiple continents will certainly be exciting," said Chris Barry, Director in Microsoft Office. A new addition to the livery in 2011 is Alpina. The Swiss watchmaker has signed on as Official Timekeeper of the Level 5 drivers.

Level 5 Motorsports will be competing in the 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, starting with the Sebring 12 Hours on March 19.
