AMERICAN RACING ICONS COME TOGETHER FOR DELTAWING CONCEPT

Some of the biggest names in American motorsport have come together to bring the DeltaWing concept to Le Mans! DeltaWing Racing Cars LLC; Dan Gurney`s All American Racers and Highcroft Racing announced on Wednesday that they`ve combined resources for Project 56, which will bring a DeltaWing concept car to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012. American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón founder Don Panoz has been asked to serve as a key advisor.
The 56th place on the Le Mans grid is reserved for a technologically innovative car to participate "outside the classifications" - a vehicle showcasing new applications and unique technologies previously unseen in the world`s greatest endurance race.

MADE IN THE USA: RISE OF THE AMERICAN GT STAR
Independence Day is a month away and the next Olympic Games are a year off, but the U.S. will have cause to celebrate its own this weekend. For in Le Mans, France, there will be three strong reasons to wave the Stars and Stripes: Patrick Long, Joey Hand and Tommy Milner. Which will you be cheering for at Le Mans?

JOEY HAND UPDATE FROM LE MANS
There`s always drama (and rain!) at Le Mans. American BMW factory driver Joey Hand is finding that out in his first trip to the 24 Hours. His BMW M3 GT will start third Saturday on the GTE Pro grid despite teammate Andy Priaulx`s unfortunate crash that forced the BMW Motorsport crew to rebuild the front of the car late Thursday and early Friday. Hand shares why he remains full of confidence for the race.
