Level 5 happy with Le Mans debut

Level 5 Lola-Honda, Le Mans 2011US-based Level 5 Motorsports is "loving" its debut in the Le Mans 24 Hours, according to crew chief Ken Swan.
The #33 Lola-HPD Coupe encountered some problems with fuelling during qualifying, but is running fifth in class at present and has been close to the pace of the Strakka HPD at times with drivers Christophe Bouchut, Scott Tucker and Joao Barbosa.

"It's going fine now and we've got a great set-up," Swan told AUTOSPORT. "Stepping up to LMP2 we've used all the data and information we learned about the car at Sebring here at Le Mans and we think we're running pretty well."
The American outfit's tyre strategy is similar to its LMP2 competitors, with the team currently double stinting its tyres.

"Scott has been double stinting strongly and the wear rate of the Michelins is really good and suits our car well," said Swan.

"We're hoping to triple stint the tyres once temperatures drop off a little but everything could change if we see a bit of rain later on or early tomorrow. We're confident that it won't affect us too much, though, with the massive experience we've got in the car with Christophe and Joao."
